Zhen Han works with Wisteria Court’s clients in the Energy Sector. Zhen  also provides leadership with our activities with Chinese SOE banks and construction companies.

Zhen is a highly accomplished finance and investment executive with extensive experience in the energy, private equity and global financial sectors; extensive knowledge in equity investments, valuation, project finance, corporate finance, securitization, and in energy company development, operations, management and restructuring; proven track record of structuring, negotiating and closing complex investment and financing; proven ability in improving operations and maximizing profits through finance management, cost reduction, internal control and efficiency improvements.

Zhen was a Director at Overseas Private Investment Corporation (“OPIC”), the US Governments Development Financial Institution. Zhen was responsible for structuring, negotiating and closing more than $2 billion of complex investments and financings in the clean energy, private equity, and financial sectors worldwide; significant contributor to a group, which accounts for more than 70% of organization’s annual revenue.

Zhen started his career at Wartsila Corp where he was instrumental in raising equity capital and debt financing, and closing EPC contracts for more than 1,000 MW of power generation projects in Asia, Latin America and the U.S.

Zhen was CFO of UPC Renewables where he successfully securing funding from investors; improved the company’s financial performance by exercising stringent internal control over operational costs; accountable for budget, financial control, financing, legal, administration and day-to-day operations and management of multiple teams in these functional areas in the headquarter and seven project CFOs located in different regions.

Zhen is the Founder & CEO of GFS Global LLC , a boutique advisor that focuses on structuring equity and debt  solutions for renewable energy, clean energy and environmentally friendly projects. GFS Global is currently structuring financing for one of the largest clean energy projects in the U.S., and the project is strongly supported by both the U.S. and Chinese governments.
