  • Julio Marquez works with Wisteria Court in the delivery of mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and other strategic advice.

 

  • Julio has more than 25 years Latin America investment banking and private equity experience with Citibank, GEM, Wasserstein Perella, Violy, Byorum & Partners, Prudential, Oppenheimer and Morgan Stanley. He currently is a Partner at Wyndham Global Partners – a private equity firm, responsible for Latin America.

 

  • Mr. Marquez has been President of Gottbetter Capital in New York since 2009. In that capacity he has overseen capital-raising and M&A transactions throughout the Americas, with a particular specialization in assisting smaller, private companies facing increasingly complex situations in the international capital markets. The Firm is a U.S. registered broker-dealer and advisor, member of FINRA and SIPC.   

 

  • Julio was for over 10 years Managing Director and Head for Latin America at the Geneva-based Global Emerging Markets (GEM) Group, a $3+ billion family of private and public equity investment vehicles.  While there, Julio oversaw transactions totaling over US$1 billion in aggregate value.  Prior to GEM, Julio was for over three years Head of Analytics at Violy, Byorum & Partners, a leading M&A and advisory investment bank dedicated to the Americas, where he worked closely with Violy McCausland designing winning financial strategies for both private and public corporations.  Prior to VB&P. Julio held positions of increasing responsibility at institutions such as Wasserstein Perella, Prudential Securities, Oppenheimer and Morgan Stanley, always in the Latin American M&A field.  

 

  • Julio, a dual US-Mexico citizen, holds an MBA from Harvard Business School (1990), a Master's in Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania (1985) and a Bachelor's in Engineering from the Massachustetts Institute of Technology (1984).

 

  • Julio is Managing Partner of NYMEX Capital. Wisteria Court & NYMEX Capital often work together to deliver solutions to clients.

 

  • Julio has served on several corporate boards and is also currently an Adjunct Lecturer at the New York School of Finance.  His favorite hobby is performing magic shows for all ages.
